Features by VPN pass
Where do the three passes differ?
Basic isn't a trimmed-down pass. You get the whole server list, three protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN UDP/TCP, IKEv2), the kill switch, split tunneling, leak-proof DNS run by us and the no-logs policy. None of the passes limit how much data you use or how fast it goes.
Plus brings blocking for ads, trackers and malicious sites, along with Double VPN, which routes your traffic through two of our servers in a row. Pro has everything in Plus, then adds a dedicated IP and support that answers you first. The device limit climbs with each pass: 6, then 10, then 12 at once.
Which settings should I change first?
Very few. The defaults, WireGuard with the kill switch enabled, suit most people. That combination is fast and keeps your real IP hidden if the connection blinks.
Use split tunneling only when something breaks on the VPN, such as a banking app that refuses VPN addresses. Double VPN is worth it on a network you don't trust, but every page loads a little slower, so turn it off when you're done.
Common questions
Is Basic enough for most people?
For public Wi-Fi and reaching servers in other countries, it is. On servers, protocols, the kill switch and logging, Basic matches Plus and Pro exactly. Move up to Plus when you want ads blocked or need more than 6 devices online together.
Do excluded apps lose internet when the kill switch fires?
No. The kill switch acts on traffic that goes through the VPN. An app you moved out with split tunneling was on your regular line the whole time, and a VPN drop leaves it alone.
Does ad blocking work outside the browser?
Yes. The blocking happens in our DNS, before a request reaches any app, so mobile games and news apps get it too. Ads served from the same domain as the page itself can't be blocked this way.
Should I leave Double VPN on all the time?
Usually not. Two servers make your traffic harder to follow but add delay. Turn it on for hotel or conference Wi-Fi, and use a single server for video calls, streaming and games.
