Cart and checkout
11 questionsHow does paying with the cart work?
Add what you want, review it on /cart, log in, and the whole cart is paid from your balance in one step. A VPN pass and a proxy order can be checked out together. When the balance falls short, the cart shows the exact amount you still need to top up.
View this answer aloneCan I fill the cart before I log in?
Yes. Your cart is saved in the browser you're using, so you can shop first and log in when you check out. There is room for 10 lines. The cart does not follow you to a second browser or device.
View this answer aloneWhat sets Basic, Plus and Pro apart?
Mainly the number of devices online together, plus a few add-ons. Every tier reaches all servers and protocols. Basic is for 6 devices. Plus raises that to 10 and turns on Double VPN, malicious site blocking, and ad and tracker blocking. Pro goes to 12 and keeps every Plus feature; on top of that you get priority support and your own dedicated IP, chosen from 10 countries.
View this answer aloneWhich terms can a VPN pass have?
You can choose a term of 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. You pay for the whole term at checkout, and a longer term means a lower price per month. Basic for 24 months costs 80% less than buying 24 single months, which comes to about $2.65 a month.
View this answer aloneDoes anything renew or charge me on its own?
No. Money leaves your balance only when you check out a cart yourself. A pass simply ends after its last day, and the VPN stops until you buy another one.
View this answer aloneBuy early: do leftover days carry over?
Yes, every day carries over. The new pass waits and begins when the current one runs out. With 12 days left on your pass and a 3-month pass bought today, you finish those 12 days and then the 3 months start.
View this answer aloneWhat crypto does a top-up accept?
Seven coins: USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL and LTC, across 12 coin and network pairs. Enter the amount in the Top up tab, and the PayGate checkout page lets you pick the coin and network. Each top-up is $5 to $5,000, held as US dollars that never expire.
View this answer aloneCan I skip crypto and use a card?
No, top-ups are crypto only, so neither cards nor PayPal can be used at checkout. Without coins of your own, the usual route is to buy USDT on an exchange and withdraw it to the address the checkout page gives you.
View this answer aloneHow long until a top-up is credited?
In most cases the money appears a few minutes after the chain confirms the payment. Heavy traffic on a chain can stretch that out. Match the coin and the network to what the checkout page shows; a payment sent another way may be hard for us to link to your account.
View this answer aloneCan I get my money back on a VPN pass?
Yes, for the first VPN pass on your account, if you request it within 7 days of purchase. Send the request through the Contact us tab. Each account can use this once, and the refund is credited as balance rather than paid out in coins.
View this answer aloneUpgrading from Basic: how does it work?
Buy a Plus or Pro pass through the cart. It begins on the day your Basic pass finishes, so none of the days you paid for go to waste. Need the upgrade earlier than that? Tell us in the Contact us tab and we'll see what we can do.

Proxy orders
6 questionsDoes a VPN pass include proxies?
No. A VPN pass and a proxy order are two different purchases, and having one gives you nothing from the other. Both can still share a cart and be paid from one balance.
View this answer aloneBuying a proxy: what are the steps?
Open the type you want under /proxies, set the amount, add it to the cart and check out with your balance. Each type is sold in its own unit: GB for residential, days for unlimited residential, and IPs per month for static ISP and datacenter. The smallest top-up is $5.
View this answer aloneWhy does my proxy order say Activating?
It means we have your payment and are getting the proxy ready. As soon as the status turns to Active, the login details show up under My passes in My info. Should activation fail, we return every cent of the order to your balance.
View this answer aloneWhich host and ports do proxies use?
All proxies connect through one host, gate.vpnpass.shop. Pick port 6100 when your tool speaks HTTP or HTTPS, and 6200 when it speaks SOCKS5. Your login is in My info > My passes, with a proxy username that starts with vp. Add up to 10 IPv4 addresses to the allowlist if you'd rather skip the password from those addresses.
View this answer aloneWhat happens when a proxy order runs out?
The proxy stops working at the end, and no renewal happens on its own. Unlimited residential, static ISP and datacenter orders close after their last day; add time through the cart if you want to keep going. Residential GB don't expire and last until you use them up.
View this answer aloneCan my balance go back to a wallet?
No. Balance can't be paid out to a crypto wallet. It stays on your account, never expires, and can be spent on VPN passes or proxy orders.

Opening an account
8 questionsWhat can I buy here?
Two things: VPN passes for your phone, laptop and other devices, and proxies for scripts and tools. One prepaid balance pays for both. A pass covers servers in 62 cities across 44 countries for as long as its term runs. The four proxy types are separate products, though they share the cart with passes.
View this answer aloneWhat are the two ways to create an account?
Pick email plus password, or a single account token with no other details. The choice sits in the tabs at the top of /signup. After you log in, nothing differs between the two: the balance, the cart and My info look and work alike.
View this answer aloneHow does email sign-up work?
Type your email, choose a password of 8 characters or more, agree to the terms, and you're in. No confirmation email arrives, because we don't send mail at all. For the same reason there is no way to reset a forgotten password, so keep it in a password manager.
View this answer aloneHow does token sign-up work?
Switch to the Token tab and a fresh token appears right away, shaped like vpp_XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Keep it with the copy button or the .txt download. Then check "I saved it" and the terms box to finish. No email, name or phone number is collected for this kind of account.
View this answer aloneWill you ever email me?
No. We never send email, not even to accounts created with an email address. Pass dates, top-up results and answers from us all show up in My info once you log in, so look at the Contact us tab when you're expecting a reply.
View this answer aloneIs there a limit on accounts per connection?
Yes. Up to 3 accounts may be opened from a single IP address. The cap is there to stop scripts from opening hundreds at a time. An office or a shared house that needs a fourth can explain the situation to us through the Contact us tab.
View this answer aloneI just signed up. How do I buy my first pass?
Add money to your balance first, then put a VPN pass in the cart and pay with that balance. You'll find Top up in My info, the passes on /plans and the cart at /cart. After the pass starts, Get the apps lists what is available for each device.
View this answer aloneIs using a VPN legal where I live?
For most of the world, it is. Some places limit or forbid VPN use, and it's worth checking their rules before a trip. Using a VPN doesn't turn something unlawful into something allowed, and our Acceptable Use Policy rules that kind of use out.

Devices and app status
6 questionsAre the apps ready to download?
Not yet. The apps are still being finished, and none can be downloaded today. Once they're out, any account whose VPN pass has days left will find the install steps in My info under Get the apps. Until then, /apps shows the supported versions and planned setup steps for each device.
View this answer aloneCan I get the apps from an app store?
No, we haven't published to either store yet. A listing there with a look-alike name belongs to someone else. When our apps are released, Get the apps in My info will walk you through installing them.
View this answer aloneWhich devices will the apps support?
The plan covers Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 and later, iOS 15 and later on iPhone and iPad, and Android 8 and later. Linux builds for Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora are coming, as is Android TV. A router gets a WireGuard configuration file rather than an app.
View this answer aloneWhat's the device limit on each pass?
Six devices may be connected at one time on Basic; Plus allows 10 and Pro 12. Only devices online right now take a slot, so installing on more is fine.
View this answer aloneCan the VPN run on my router?
It can, provided your router supports WireGuard natively, and then one setup covers every phone, laptop and TV on your Wi-Fi. You load our WireGuard file in the router's settings. For the device limit, the router uses a single slot. That file will come through Get the apps at the same time as the apps.
View this answer aloneWireGuard, OpenVPN or IKEv2: which first?
Start with WireGuard. It's the default of the three protocols and usually the fastest. If a hotel or workplace network won't let WireGuard through, switch to OpenVPN over TCP. On phones IKEv2 works well, since it recovers fast when you hop between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

When something isn't working
7 questionsWhy won't any server connect?
Start by opening My passes in My info and making sure your VPN pass hasn't expired. If it's still active, change servers or move from WireGuard to OpenVPN TCP, since that protocol slips past most VPN-blocking networks. Still stuck? Restart the app, and after that the device.
View this answer aloneWhy is my internet slower with the VPN on?
A small drop in speed is normal with any VPN, and choosing a nearby server keeps it small. Every packet is encrypted and travels via our server, so the distance to that server matters most. For speed, WireGuard is normally the best of the three protocols. On Plus or Pro, leave Double VPN off unless you need it, and send apps that don't need the VPN outside it with split tunneling.
View this answer aloneWhy does a site block me only on the VPN?
Most likely the site keeps a list of VPN server addresses and turns them away. Picking a different server inside the same country often gets you in. You can also use split tunneling so that one browser goes around the VPN. On Pro, try connecting through your dedicated IP, since nobody else shares it.
View this answer aloneCan I recover a lost password or token?
No, we can't recover either one. With no email from us there is no reset link, and nothing lets us prove who an account belongs to. If you're locked out, you'll need to open a new account, which is why sign-up keeps asking you to save your details.
View this answer aloneMy top-up hasn't shown up after an hour.
Share the transaction ID (TXID) with us in the Contact us tab, and we'll look up that payment. Top-ups are credited only after the network confirms them, and confirmation takes longer on some coins.
View this answer aloneMy new device says no slots are free.
Every slot on your pass is in use by devices that are still connected. Disconnect the VPN on one of them and try the new device again. If a device died or dropped off the network, its slot can stay taken for a few minutes before it frees up.
View this answer aloneWhere do I send a question?
Log in, open My info and send us a message in the Contact us tab. You'll see our answer in the same place. Tell us which device you use and what you were doing when it went wrong, and we can find the cause sooner. Pro questions go to the front of the line.

Logs and encryption
6 questionsDo you keep logs of my browsing?
No. While you're connected, we record nothing about what you do: no sites, no traffic content, no DNS lookups, no real IP and no connection times. The servers are set up so that none of it is ever saved to storage.
View this answer aloneWhat does my account record contain?
Just enough to let you log in and show what you bought. For an email account that means the email in lowercase and a scrypt hash of the password. For a token account, logins are checked against a hash of the token, and we keep its last 4 characters plus one encrypted copy used to match top-ups to the account. Every account also has a hashed sign-up IP, its balance, payment records and pass dates.
View this answer aloneNo logs, so how are devices counted?
Every connected device takes one short-lived slot on the server, and that slot is all we use to count. It records that a seat is taken, nothing about the IP or the traffic. Once the device goes offline, the slot is removed.
View this answer aloneIs the kill switch worth keeping on?
We recommend it. When the VPN drops, the kill switch blocks the internet until the tunnel is back, which keeps your real IP hidden during the gap. Once the apps are out, you'll find the switch in the app settings.
View this answer aloneCan my ISP see the sites I look up?
No, the VPN keeps those lookups out of your ISP's view for as long as you stay connected. Each DNS request travels through the tunnel to DNS servers we run ourselves, not to your provider. Your ISP can tell a VPN is in use but not which addresses you asked for.
View this answer aloneHow is my traffic encrypted?
The cipher follows the protocol you connect with. A WireGuard connection is encrypted with ChaCha20, and OpenVPN or IKEv2 connections with AES-256-GCM. Both are widely deployed ciphers with years of public review behind them.
